GOLF OUTINGS

Golf Outings is provided by View Newspaper Group to give area service clubs, charitable organizations, non-profits, sports booster clubs and other civic and community organizations an opportunity to publicize their golf outings. If your group or club is hosting a golf outing to raise funds for a charitable or community cause, email your outing information to: avandaele@mihomepaper.com. SATURDAY, AUGUST 25

The Lapeer City Police Officers Charitable Fund golf outing will be held August 25 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. Outing begins at 9 a.m. Cost of $90 per person includes golf, lunch and dinner. Closest to the pin, longest drive and hole-in-one competition. Contact Dave Frisch at 810-614-1877.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 6

The 10th annual Marlette Regional Hospital Foundation Driving for Health golf outing will be held September 6 at LAPEER COUNTRY CLUB. Fun and exciting contests and games are planned including an air cannon and inflatable dinosaur. Proceeds benefit the Marlette Regional Hospital acute care/swing bed renovation project. The North Branch Athletic Boosters golf scramble will be held September 8 at CASTLE CREEK GOLF CLUB. Shotgun start at 10 a.m. Cost of $240 per team includes golf, hot dog and drink at the turn. Prizes for first through third places, longest drive and closest to the pin. Proceeds benefit North Branch boys’ basketball and golf. The Lapeer Sheriff’s Motor Unit Fundraiser golf outing will be held September 10 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. The Murphy Elementary Tee Off for Technology golf outing will be held September 15 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. Outing begins at 8:30 a.m. Cost of $85 per person includes golf, continental breakfast, lunch and dinner. Closest to the pin, longest drive and hole-in-one contest. SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16

The 6th Annual Paul Wegrzyn Memorial Golf Outing to benefit Christmas for Kids will be held September 16 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Cost of $75 per golfer or $300 per team includes 18 holes of golf with cart, hot dog at the turn and dinner. Closest to the line, putting contest, Vegas hole, 50/50 and prizes. Bring a toy for the kid’s barrel. All proceeds benefit Christmas for Kids and are distributed through Holiday Depot.
