PATSY HERZOG, 87, of Imlay City, died Friday, August 3, 2018 at Autumn Ridge Assisted Living of Clarkston.

Patsy Corine Bittle was born July 7, 1931, in Searcy, AR. She is the daughter of the late Joshua and the late Armanda (Elliot) Bittle. She married Nicholas Albert Herzog on September 24, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas on November 24, 2016. She grew up in Searcy, AR. She moved to the Columbus, Ohio area, where she met and married Nicholas. They moved to and lived in Lake Orion most of their married lives. They moved to Columbiaville for a short period of time and 12 years ago they moved to the Imlay City area.

Patsy enjoyed square dancing (she and her husband danced with several square dancing groups in Oakland County), boating, water-skiing and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her beloved family. Patsy worked in retail sales for a few years and for Solaroniks for about 10 years, but she enjoyed being a mother and homemaker.

Patsy is survived by five daughters, Elizabeth Ann (James) Hester of Blue Springs, MO, Patti Kay Herzog of Independence, MO, Virginia “Ginny” (Jim) Knapp of Holly, Carolyn Betsy Sluka of Grand Blanc and Sandra Lynn (James) McMahon of Leonard; one son, Nicholas (Desiree) Herzog of Clarkston; brothers-in-law, Bill (Mary Ellen) Herzog, Louis Herzog, Ken Cook; sister-in-law, Barbara Herzog. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Herzog; son-in-law, John Sluka; sisters, Mildred Acree and Margie Bell; brothers, Jim Bittle and Bud Bittle.

The funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 8 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home Of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City. Burial followed in Imlay Township Cemetery, Imlay City.
