LARNA JO ERVIN

LARNA JO ERVIN, 72, of Lapeer (formerly of Royal Oak), cast aside her earthly shell to join her husband in Glory on May 6, 2018.

Larna was born in Piggott, AR, on September 23, 1945, to Elmer and Florence (Goforth) Brady. She graduated in 1964 from Hazel Park High School. Larna married Raymond T. Ervin, Jr. on June 20, 1964 in Ferndale.

Mrs. Ervin was a dedicated wife and mother. She loyally served at FAITH Homeschool since its founding in 2001. She also volunteered time at Hunters Creek Community Church in Lapeer, where she was an active member. Larna enjoyed spending time with her family and extended family, particularly enjoyed visiting and traveling with her siblings and her sister-in-law. She loved to laugh, tell stories, play games and carry-on in general. Her personality and demeanor reflect the new creation that she had become through Jesus Christ. She is now with the Savior whom she reflected in word and deed.

Mrs. Ervin is survived by her sons, Brian (Barbara) of North Branch, Bradley (Michelle) of Shelby Township, Matthew (Deanna) of Lapeer and Jeremy (Lori) of Farmington Hills; seven grandsons, five granddaughters and five great-grandsons; as well as siblings, Linda (Chuck) Stanfield and Larry (Jan) Brady; and sister-in-law, Brenda Brady.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Darrel; and infant brother, Donald Wayne.

Larna’s visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday May 11, 2018 at Hunters Creek Community Church, 2471 Metamora Rd., Lapeer 48446, with Pastor Joel Caminiti officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lapeer, where she will take the place she always enjoyed in life - immediately next to her husband.
